Boston and beyond! Business portraits on location

My place or yours? How do you choose between making your portraits or headshots in my Marblehead studio here on Boston’s North Shore, or have me work at your location?

I love the control I have when making portraits in my studio: composition, lighting, positioning. I like the consistent look we can get here.

However…

Working on location is also brilliant but for the opposite reasons. For me, I get to quickly explore for the perfect locations and figure out compositions that are unique to your environment. That’s why these types of photos are called “environmental portraits''. They are custom to you, and they show exactly what potential clients are looking for. Making a standard set of headshots for your website “about” page is part of the process, too. We can find a simple scene or I can whip out my backdrop to capture people without anything distracting in the background. I use a portable lighting kit so I can make fantastic images no matter the lighting conditions at the location. Works everytime.

The biggest benefit is that when I come to your location there's minimal disruption to your work day. It’s extremely convenient for you. No driving around, and if you have lots of staff, we will only pull them away from their work for the time they need to be in front of the camera.

So if you are in the Boston area you have a decision to make. You could come to me in Marblehead and perhaps visit the Old Town and the beach afterwards, or have me come to you to get great photographs from the comfort of your own location.
