Making a day-out of your portrait session in Marblehead!

It’s not just the awesome headshots that bring people to my studio (though I’d like to think that's a huge part of it!).

I know that when people from all over the North Shore travel to see me they also check out the beautiful town I live in. I mean, why not make a day trip out of it?  Marblehead is a historic coastal town with something for everybody.

You’ll find houses older than the revolution, sail boats darting around the harbor and a couple of familiar classic movie locations too. For a chowder with a harbor view you will enjoy The Landing on Front Street, or perhaps you’d like to dip your toes into the Atlantic or scramble on the rocks under the lighthouse at Chandler-Hovey Park.

There are conservation lands, woods to hike around and even the  backstreets are fascinating to explore with yards laden with boats and lobster pots.

You won’t find many chain stores here. Instead you will find a bustling downtown around Atlantic Avenue and the old town on Washington Street full of locally-owned small businesses.

The video linked below shows a day in Marblehead through time lapses of the sunrise, drone shots of the open spaces and imagery of the architecture and sights that draw people here year after year.

So when you plan your headshot session with me, don’t forget to block out another hour or two (or four) for yourself to explore this beautiful town, and breathe in the fresh ocean air.
